James E. Clyburn Transportation Fellowship

($7,800 per annum)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Be a U. S. Citizen
  • Be fully admitted to the Graduate School
  • Be accepted into the Master of Science Degree in Transportation program
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.50 or better
  • Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student taking a minimum of nine (9) credits per semester
  • Hold the baccalaureate degree in a transportation-related field from an accredited college or university or (9) semester credits in courses on the graduate level in a transportation-related field
  • Submit a statement consisting of 500 words or less of his interest in a career in transportation
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from individuals who have a thorough knowledge of your academic capabilities, interests, and goals

Criteria for Annual Renewal/Continuation of Award

  • Maintain an accumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for all graduate work
  • Matriculation in the Master of Science in Transportation degree program must be during consecutive semesters until completion of the degree requirements.
  • Maintain full-time status
